DAY TRIP FROM FEZ

STARTING THE DAY RIGHT

FEZ-VOLUBIS-MEKNES-FEZ

We did a day trip from Fez that took in Volubis which is a partly excavated Roman city dating from the 3rd century BC. A mind boggling amount of history that largely went over my head but it was good to wander around taking in the ruins and the mosaics that remarkably are still visible.

We left Volubis once we cleared a three month old Macaque out of the car. He was really enjoying the climbing gym. Anne was heard to involuntarily utter "you little monkey" while being amused getting him out.

We arrived in Meknes quite late, did a tour and a walk but it seemed an interesting place. I think Anne and I probably appreciated the extra sense of space of the place compared to the density of Fez.

NOT EASY TO GET HIM OUT OF THE CAR
