BACK IN GREECE AGAIN, BY LAND!

Our fast, smoke free bus ride to Thessaloniki was a pleasure. We stayed one night there in a comfy hotel. Our walk stumbled on a fair of Cretan produce so we are now working on a kilo of sun dried chemical free figs. v nice.
Back on the road the next day, we got a train to Athens. We had the Greece chapter of the Hell's Angels stay at our hotel with us and then they got on the same carriage as us on the train. Not a bike in sight but plenty of colours. Apart from their cigarette smoke they were on best behaviour.
Our airbnb shared apartment in Athens is good with a great view of the Acropolis and only minutes from the Intercontinental where Anne is attending a conference for the next week and putting out feelers for work somewhere in Europe.
Looking forward to doing some sights tomorrow with Mirjam, Anne's long time friend from the early days of the internet, BUT, it's raining in Athens. Timing.
